I have been investigating all the things to do in New Zealand and one of the things that really interests me is Abel Tasman. But it seems so overwhelming and I want to know what to see in Abel Tasman? I think you can go hiking and swimming and kayaking and pretty much any outdoor activity that someone would want to do in a country, it is very interesting to see how Kiwis are so interested in being active and healthy and are so interested in the environment.

Another thing that really interests me is whale watching. I heard you could do it in Kaikoura but I am not sure how expensive it would be. I know that they cannot guarantee that you will see a whale which is fair as you cannot guarantee nature. If I wanted a guaranteed sighting I would have to go to Sea World and that just makes me really sad. I cannot imagine watching sea animals in a pool that is far too small for them, it must be like if we were told to live in a tub. Okay maybe that is a bit small maybe it would be more like it we were in a kiddie pool, enough room to swim but not to get much exercise.

There are so many things that I want to do in New Zealand it will be really hard to decide. In fact the only thing that is making me decide is that I have to stay on budget and it is a very expensive country to travel compared to some of the countries in South East Asia or South America.

When my husband, Mike, came home from work last Monday evening, he said his company was sending him on a two week business trip to Kigagil. He said that he was going to have to figure out where to stay in Kigali. He explained to me that the company was letting the employees stay wherever they want to. I was browsing online, daydreaming about taking a holiday (I tend to do this when the winter really kicks in) and came across some amazing beaches in Majorca. I’ve found myself looking into Alcudia hotels and working out whether I can afford to go. I’m going to have to talk my boyfriend into coming with me – we could both use a break by the sea. I don’t care that it’s not the middle of summer… it’s cheaper to go now, and frankly, I am desperate to get out into some sunshine! This long dark winter weather is really doing in my head in.
