A Total Dream Of A Location – Estepona Spain

Situated on the Costa Del Sol approximately equally distant between Fuengirola and Gibraltar is the excellent Spanish resort of Estepona.  There are half a dozen recognised and beautiful beaches belonging to this excellent location.  There are not many towns in this area of southern Spain that have managed to retain their pueblo type character but Estepona has managed it with style, it is altogether a remarkable place to visit.  There are many high class villas and apartments offering exceptional self catering Estepona properties and the old town still has many street cafes and tapas bars that still serve traditional Spanish delicacies and the steep cobbled narrow streets seem more suited to horses and carts instead of modern day cars.

London Hotels for New Years Eve

London Hotels for New Year’s Eve

It may seem extremely premature to be thinking about New Years Eve already, but booking up London hotels for the event now means you’re more likely to get a cheaper priced room. Now, a lot of people love watching the fireworks and the London celebrations as we cheer in a new year, but a lot of the people that watch it, actually watch it on the television and have never been to London to see it for themselves. The New Year’s Eve Event in London is just incredible. The huge fireworks that make the ground shake are like nothing you’ve ever seen and most importantly you’ll be a part of the buzzing atmosphere.   If you’ve ever thought about it, do it! London hotels offer you so much choice and freedom you’d be gutted if you missed out on the chance.

Transport in London

London Hotels really do offer you everything, freedom to go out when you want to and freedom as to when you want to come back to your room. On New Year’s Eve it also means you haven’t got to worry about getting home the same night. As the display is so spectacular, hundreds of thousands of people attend the event, so it is advised to book your hotel as early as possible. The tubes are chocker block full with people and the trains run a limited service, meaning they will of course get filled up incredibly quickly. Then there’s the wait to actually get into the train stations, which is estimated at over an hours waiting time. This is a lot of hassle to be had so why not choose to book London hotels close to the event.

Choosing London Hotels to Stay In

If you want to avoid all of the hustle and bustle of the public transport system; the tubes, the trains, the buses, you really will benefit by doing some research first into where you want to be for the New Year’s Eve celebrations. There are plenty of viewing banks that you can watch the fireworks from including Westminster and Waterloo, as well as plenty more, so firstly, decide where you would like to be watching from. Then, once you have decided that, book a room nearest to that viewing bank, so you have only a short walking distance to get to your hotel. That way, you can avoid as much of the queues as possible and can get back to your London hotels in no time!

Tips to keep the kids comfortable while travelling

I am soon flying with Thomson Lakes and Mountains 2012 and here are some tips for your flight. Do not hope that an airline will make you as comfortable as necessary on a flight. Consider packing your own pillow or blanket, as well as headphones. The airline versions are not very comfortable. You may also want to think of bringing your own food so you can eat what you want. A lot of airports are being designed and remodeled with play areas and can give your kids something to do during any long waits. The wait will go faster and your children will be happier.

One Hell Of A Ferry Trip Aboard The Good Ship Blatant To Algarve Portugal

The night I joined the good ship ‘Blatant’ was the worst night imaginable for weather.  This was to be my first night at sea and I could not have chosen a worse one for my maiden voyage.  I had always longed to go to sea, and when the Captain said he was looking for a deck hand I was delighted to take the position.  I had for so very long dreamed of going to sea, and in spite of my parents protestation about the many dangers I might encounter, I was determined to sign on as deckhand to the Blatant.

When I arrived at our berth the sea appeared mountainous.  My heart sank into my new sea boots, and I hoped that perhaps we would put off casting our mooring ropes and venturing forth in such arduous conditions, but Captain Peterson was a seasoned old sea dog, and a little bad weather wasn’t going to put him off.  Get forward lad and cast off.  It may be a bit heavy but we will get through all right, never fear.  I have sailed in far worse conditions than this and never lost a man in twenty seven years.  His words sounded mighty brave for someone who would be spending the entire trip in a warm wheelhouse, while I had to walk the decks on this floating nightmare.  He would be quite snug in there with his cocoa and his meerschaum pipe, but I would not even be able to have a smoke on this truly forsaken deck.  I huddled behind the wheelhouse as we gently nudged into the swell.

The Great Mountain Ainos On The Island Of Kefalonia

For those who want to explore and see wilderness you can visit Mount Ainos.  This is a huge forest 10 kilometers long. The Kefalonian pine is only one of a kind with very dark green color and perfect shape pine.  The green color is so dark that it is also known as the black forest.  You can get to it from various villages and also close to many Kefalonia accommodation nearby.

The winding road up the mountain is good up to a certain point, then it’s bad dirt and rocky roads. As you continue to go up, there is a drastic change in temperatures. Mount Soros is the highest point and it has an altitude of 1628m. Make sure you have a sweater or jacket to put on when you reach at the top (not kidding). The view is beyond words.  You just have to see it! In 1962 this spectacular mountain was declared a National Park by the Greek state. Then you can go back to your Kefalonia villa and take it easy all night.

On the path up the mountain you come in touch with the nature part of your personality. You will see various types of trees, wild flowers and shrubbery. The scent of oregano, thyme and some others is unearthly.  You will notice the mushrooms throughout the path and flowers budding.

Animal life is in existence as well.  This consists of various reptiles and many types of birds.  Hawks and eagles can be seen flying throughout the island, what a magnificent site.  Another common to the island is the scoop owl, known to the locals as “gionis”. You can sometimes spot these close to your Kefalonia rentals as they sometimes get close to the public. At night when all is quiet, it can be heard throughout the whole island. On the southeast side of the mountain you will see horses roaming.  Even though their kind is small, they are strong and have endurance.  The monastery near there, Zoodochou Pygi, keeps an eye on them.

A Great Vacation

I have been online all morning long doing research on rotorua motels. My husband and I have been saving money for several years so that we could go on a trip to New Zealand, and we finally have enough. We are pretty excited about going on our dream vacation. I really want to find a good deal on a motel so that we can have extra money to spend on entertainment and sightseeing. This will be a really great vacation.

I think to look for an private apartment in Vienna Austria

Our dance group is praparing for a 3weeks european trip to Austria in spirng. Since we are going to be two groups young people, each 4-5 Persons, we are planing to rent 2 fully equipped apartments in Vienna, if possible in the same building (there are), and stay for a little longer than planed. We can cook and feel pretty much at home, have free internet etc… but we are going to save tons of money we can use for other fun things there. Vienna is very close to Budapest, Bratislava and even Prague, and and to rent an apartment in vienna austria is for sure the right choice getting accommodation there. Lets see what happens..

Know The History Of Salsa

Know The History Of Salsa

We can say it’s a fusion of many Latin and Afro-Caribbean dances that has evolved significantly over time. Some say it originated in Cuba, other say Puerto Rico. We’ll probably never know. What we do know for sure is that it’s very popular all around the world and still remains one of the main dances in both Cuba and Puerto Rico. What about the word “Salsa”? That’s an interesting question. The word means “sauce” in Spanish language. In 1930s when Cuban composer Ignacio Pinerio wrote the song Echale Salsita, this word became a popular nickname for many dances of Latin American origins, including rhumba, cha cha, mambo, danzon, merengue, guaracha, and others. For more information please visit “Salsa Cuba” lvk
