My husband and I went to Cuba for our honeymoon and we loved it. We had such a great time that we talked about going back when we had children. Well, now that we do have two children, we can’t wait to take them. We have found a lot of deals on fun Cuba holidays for families so luckily for us, and contrary to what we initially thought, we will not have to spend as much as we thought we would, which also means that now we will have more money to spend with the kids while we are there.

Although not babies, our children are still very young and I wanted to ensure they had a fabulous time during our planned family holiday in Cuba. It’s not hard to imagine children having fun in a paradisiacal tropical beach where they could build as many sand castles as they wanted or where they could bathe (under our close and strict supervision, of course) in calm crystal waters all day long. But we also wanted to ensure that the resort we picked would also provide child-friendly activities and programmes so that us parents could also enjoy some romantic quality time alone, relaxing and rejuvenating. So I browsed online through various Cuba hotels and resorts to find the most family-friendly and the kind of child-friendly activities they offered.

In the end we settled for a gorgeous Varadero hotel set by a stunning stretch of glorious pristine beach and offering great facilities for families with young children. After leading lots of positive reviews on TripAdvisor we finally decided that the Paradisus Varadero Resort & Spa was the one for us. Past guests spoke highly of the friendly and accommodating service provided by staff, the resort’s romantic and pretty layout and the great child-minder Arianne whose babysitting services were free throughout the day and 5 CUC per hour during the evening. We also had a look at the outstanding children facilities such as the kids’ playground and the Mini Club and we were soon convinced this was our resort. We’re currently looking for  cheap flights to Cuba around the dates we plan to travel and have already booked the hotel rooms at the Paradisus Varadero…we simply cannot wait!!
